This is my very first Photoshop project. Anyone that has been reading my blog for some time knows that I love putting images and poetry together. Even better when the entire piece is original.

Very nice photoshop job, Staci! Doing the art and poems gives you absolute control over the message and presentation. Nicely done!!! I had such a hard time getting past the learning curve on Photoshop. Then I reached the “aha” moment and everything came together.
That’s great Rob. It seems like there’s so much to it. In Brazil we say, “Um bicho de 7 cabeças”, which in English is literally, “An animal with 7 heads”. Daniel helped me out and showed me the ropes. At least for this simple project.
🙂
Stunning 🙂 ❤
Awww, thanks M.T.
🙂 ❤
Oh I adore this, both you poem and your art work!!! Hugs, N ❤
Awwwww, thanks Natalie. I’m so glad you like it/them.
Hugs
🙂 ❤
here here – it is wayyyy better when original – and nice job!
and the message – cool twist – “not so mysterious after all” ❤ actually beautiful cos the paradox is that it is spooky cool – yet something digestible and acceptable (well you worded it better- lol)
Hehehe. Thank you so much Prior. Yes, ‘spooky cool’. I like that: ‘digestible and acceptable.’
Funny eh, because He lives in us and in Him we live and move and have our being. We don’t see Him, but we know that we know that we know that He is right here, right now, 24/7. Ahhhhhhh, there’s nothing better, is there?
🙂
ah = yes indeed nothing better.
and quick story – my son (when he was like 5 yo) used to think that the Newsboys song said “24 seconds – He watches me” = and he was adamant about it!!!
– and then finally he was like “ohhhhh 24 hours – 7 days a week ” LOL
Beautiful Staci, I love it ❤
Awwwww, thanks Heather.
🙂 ❤
Wonderful job, Staci!! You truly are a “Creative Junkie!” You are going to have so much fun in Photoshop. It can be addicting.
Oh, I’m sure. I spend about three hours or so on Saturday afternoon with it. I guess I should have spent a bit more time with my kids, or doing something else that ‘needs’ to be done. But that CADHA kicks in and gets the best of me almost always.
🙂
Love that @’creative junkie’
Lol…i so understand the 3 hours. I promise myself that im only going to spend an hour and suddenly 4 hours have gone by! Yikes!!
My husband says that everything for me is ‘quickly’. And it never is. Hahahaha. He never believes me when I say that.
🙂
LOL…I totally get that. Yesterday, I spent over 3 hours playing around making my own Photoshop brushes. I’m a complete nerd! 🙂
Ohhhhhhh, I want to be you…..
🙂
Ha! It was fun,. I posted an example of my first set of “shirt brushes” tonight on WP.
Great. I’ll have to check it out.
🙂
oops, I meant to ask if you would please give me the link to where you are taking your mixed media art workshop again? Thanks
I’ll get back to you on this. The workshop I did is here:
http://his-kingdom-come.com/groups/kingdom-come
but I have found a ton of stuff online too. I’ll send you an email within the next few days with some amazing places for some free stuff too.
🙂
Thanks so much Staci!!
Look at you! ! I enjiy this sort of expression, Staci. I don’t know how or have time to learn, but it truly adds to your message. A lovely display!
Awwww, thanks Audrey. I feel like I don’t have the time either. Actually, I often put off important things that ‘should’ be done because of my addiction to this need to create. Eek.
🙂
We all put other things aside, my dear. This addiction to creating helps us… Remember that when you begin to feel any sort of guilt. You’re worthy of expression. ♡
so beautiful Staci and great job in using photoshop! ❤ ❤
Awww, thanks Neha. I’m so glad you like it.
🙂 ❤
What a beautiful poem and lovely print. Be Blessed, Al
Oh, thank you so much Al. I’m so glad you like it.
Bless you.
🙂 ❤
Beautiful in every way!! I love your creative soul!! ❤
Awwwww, thank you so much Lorrie. You always encourage me.
🙂 ❤
Staci, lovely presentation! Beautiful! Please take good care, enjoy the weekend!
Pepperanne ♥
Thank you so much Pepperanne. You also have a wonderful weekend. And a very merry Christmas to you.
🙂 ❤
Staci, wonderfully conceptualized, yes lovely work using Photoshop…butterflies are so beautiful when you see the whole and closely observe their colour and the spread on their wings…You have great skill in combining the both the picture and the poetry…
Ohhhh, thank you so much Nihar. It was my first photoshop project. I have so much to learn when it comes to photography and photoshop. Bit by bit I guess.
Merry Christmas to you and your family Nihar.
🙂
Yeah, with photoshop we can add magic to our creation and see how technology can change the art and it’s manifestation…
You and your lovely family have a wonderful Christmas and have lots of cake…
😀
I’ve really got a lot to learn in Photoshop.
🙂
Yeah it needs more exploration and more usage to get a better hang of the software…very handy…
Lovely job. I love the butterfly
Awww, thanks Mark. When I saw it isolated there on the ground I asked my hubby to teach me how to take a photo like that. Then he showed me a few things in photoshop. Three hours later, or so it was done. Ugh. I wish I was an expert at this stuff now.
Thanks again and Merry Christmas.
