I was invited by Elizabeth from Tea and Paper to join the Five Photos, Five Stories Challenge: “Post a photo each day for five consecutive days and attach a story to the photo. It can be fiction or non-fiction, a poem or a short paragraph and each day nominate another blogger for the challenge”. Elizabeth posts photos, poems, artsy stuff and other things on her lovely blog. Please drop by and check it out.
I thought that for my fifth and final post for this challenge, I would keep things on the lighter side. I thought that romance and a rose fit well together. The poem is a Tanaga, which is a Philippine poetry form, four lines in length, seven syllables each line, first two lines rhyme and the second two rhyme.
My nomination for today’s post is Neha, from Forgotten Meadows.

So lovely! Your words go so well with the photo! 🙂 Oh and love the font, lol!
🙂 Thanks Sibella.
Awesome
Awwww, thanks Wendy. Something light to finish off the challenge.
🙂
A beautiful way to end your challenge. Nothing says love quite like a rose, right? And there’s nothing quite so hauntingly fragrant like a rose. Congratulations on completing your challenge. Every day was a joy to read.
Haha! Yes, roses do seem the flower of ‘love’. Even though this one isn’t red, it still says love, I think.
Thank you so much Rob. You’re such an encouragement.
🙂
The words are a perfect compliment to the beautiful flower. Great photo, Staci. I hope you are enjoying taking the photography as much as I’m enjoying viewing it 🙂
Awww, thanks so much Kirsten. I’m so glad you liked it.
Yes, even though I don’t have much time to invest in photography (bummer), I am enjoying it. I’m not the best, and don’t know much, but when I do finally get a shot that I like enough to post, well that makes me happy.
🙂 ❤
Lovely poem and I like this challenge will participate as soon as I get some time…it might not be five days in a row but will try my best 🙂 Thanks for sharing Staci ❤
Thanks Neha. I wasn’t able to do it five consecutive days either. I did three days on, three days off, and then finished up the last two. Sooooo, go ahead and do what’s best for you.
🙂 ❤
nice choice – and yeah, I think romance and rose fit nicely – well done –
Hehe. Yes, it does seem like rose is the flower of choice when romance is concerned (even though this one isn’t red).
Thanks Prior.
🙂
here is a red one for u 🙂 🌹
Awwww, thanks.

So lovely, Staci. Abandon all….and feeling perfect as we do so. Love this!!!♡♡♡♡
Hehehe. Thanks so much Audrey. I’m so glad you ‘love’ this one. I mean, you are one of the biggest romantics I know. Of course mine doesn’t come close to your passionate romantic writings, but it’s my little effort.
🙂 ❤
I’m a pathetic romantic, for sure. Oh, come on…you write so beautifully, Staci. ♡♡ Truly.
Hahaha! You’re funny. Thanks Audrey.
🙂 ❤
