Just a simple piece to start out the week. I don’t feel like it’s quite finished yet, but this is what I’ve got at the moment.
A very happy Labor Day to all of my Canadian and American friends. As for us down south, it’s Brazil’s Independence Day. I’m off to enjoy a bowl of Acaí cream with my family.

Thanks Crystal. It’s been a very unproductive and strange sort of day. We went out for Açaí cream at the end of the afternoon, but that’s about it.
Hope you had a great Labor Day.
🙂
Sometimes, you need a day to just be carefree. Açaí cream sounds good too!
Oh, another beauty; really love this one Stacy! 🙂 ❤️
My brightest shining star and most beautiful song is Jesus. Although I’m not deserving of His Love, He is here every single moment of every single day, loving me just the same.
There are many, beautiful, twinkling stars in my sky and songs that sing to my heart and soul; those are my dearest friends. I thank God for placing them in my life and you are on of them! 💞
Ohhhhhh, I’m so touched by this comment Sibella. My inspiration for this piece was exactly that. Or should I say ‘HIM’. He’s my song, dance, star and so much more. His amazing grace and continual mercy is incomparable.
I love what you said about the beautiful, twinkling stars. So very poetic. You also are one of the stars in my sky, my friend.
Have a beautiful evening.
🙂 ❤
Oh and I wanted to comment more on the art work which speaks in so many ways. I love the background colors and that is made of music sheets and the girl’s face is beautiful – tiny nose, pursed lips and beautiful, big, blue eyes which stand out and tell a story! I love how she’s clutching the star close to her heart as the most precious possession and also the stars hanging from the sky which give you impression that you can pluck them only of if you reach little higher and that’s a sign of hope. Beautiful in so many ways!!!
Ohhhhhh, I love that Sibella. Your interpretation of this piece is superb. I loved the idea of just reaching a little higher to pluck the star, which is a sign of hope. Wonderful.
Thank you so much S. You truly do encourage me.
🙂 ❤
You’re so welcome, Staci! It came straight from my heart.
For many years I was in some sort of fear of expressing my heart; or maybe I didn’t know how to express it. Not so long ago there was a change in my life which open the door of my heart and everything started spilling out, poetry, art, creativity and I decided to speak my heart, to always speak my heart. Sometimes people think I flatter them, or I want something from them, or that I’m cheesy, or childish or even weird… But I know there’s nothing but sincere feelings inside me and I will speak my heart until the day I die. Just felt compelled to say that and cause you’re such a great friend and a kindred spirit!
That’s so wonderful Sibella. I’m so glad you started to express your heart. You have so much to share, and we’re all blessed to be a part of it. What was this amazing thing that happened that caused such a transformation?
I don’t think you’re silly or just trying to flatter at all. I think you’re sincere, and am thankful for it. Thanks for sharing what you were compelled to share. I also consider you a great friend and kindred spirit. I think it would be awesome if we lived close by.
🙂 ❤
Thanks, Staci! That’s a story I will tell you once but through email… I never shared it with anyone.
It would be wonderful if we lived close but I’m grateful God brought us together even this way! Have a great night, and a even greater week ahead! Hugzzz!
No problem. I totally understand. WordPress, or any social media can get too public sometimes. I’d love to hear about it sometime by email.
Yes, I’m thankful too that God has brought us together this way.
You also have a great night and an amazing week.
Love and hugs. 🙂 ❤
Hahaha. Yes, my little poem. I don’t feel as if it’s finished yet, but I was chomping at the bit to post this. Maybe some inspiration will come to finish it.
Thanks so much Teresa, and have a great week.
🙂
Love it Natalie. He’s my star too. And I know that you know this simple little poem is all about Him.
Love and hugs to you, my friend.
How’s your brother-in-law. I hope and pray that all is well.
You too have an amazing week. You must be loving the beginning of fall weather. Or has it not arrived yet?
Love and hugs, S.
🙂 ❤
I did know that your poem was all about Him. Dick went home today and hopefully they figured out why his BP plummeted last week. Thanks for asking, Staci. Now we just need a heart to become available soon. Nope, the fall weather has not moved in yet. Tomorrow will be the first day that we’ll actually have a little lower temps and that will continue on for the next 8 days or so, but it could easily go back up to the nasty ones after that. I pray that it doesn’t as I am so very tired of this awful heat. We were at 101 yesterday and 100 today. Love and hugs, N 🙂 ❤
Wow! That is hot. Poor you N. I thought it was getting warm here at 88 degrees.
Great to hear about Dick. I hope and pray for a heart for him.
Love and hugs, S
💕
Very sweet. I like the background sheet music, Staci. I see a star right above your poem (next to the yellow stars) in the ‘song.’ When I read your poem I thought of the higher power I pray to and have faith in and know that I’m never alone. Your art is really lovely, innocent but loaded with meaning…if that makes any sense. Love it! Enjoy your week.
Oh wow, really? I can’t see it. I’ll have to keep looking. Hahaha.
Thank you so much Geralyn. It’s just a simple piece that I came up with off the fly. After writing it, I was inspired to do the art piece. I’m so glad that you were able to notice that there really is a meaning behind it though, so yes, it definitely makes sense.
You also have a wonderful week.
🙂
This was so sweet Staci, First of all as always I love you art. It is simple yet I feel like there is so much intricate detailing ! The girl is so so pretty ^.^
Reading your poem reminded of this really cute song, I don’t know if you’ve seen this adorable video or not but I thought I should share with you.
Ohhhhhhh Zee, that’s so cute. Thank you for sharing it with me. And thank you so much for appreciating my art. The poem is just a simple little thing that came to me last week. I didn’t know how to finish it, but I feel as if it’s not entirely finished yet. I’m sure it will come to me. It was this little poem that inspired the art piece actually. I love mixed media and especially the girlies 🙂
Thanks again and have a wonderful sleep tonight. I know it’s pretty late there right now, so you’re probably just off to bed.
Love and hugs.

Awww, thanks Kirsten. I’m looking into the Fine Art America site. It looks like I can sell from there. I just need to make the photos good quality. Daniel taught me a few things on Photoshop, and I learned online some tricks on how to take a good photo shot of artwork. Anyhow, hopefully soon I’ll get something happening.
Thanks again. Have a great Thursday. I’m off to celebrate the hub’s bday tonight.

Love the poem, Staci! My kids are my stars. Sometimes my starts don’t make me happy, like when their rooms are like animal barns, but for the most part, they shine for me.
