I just wanted to let my wonderful WordPress friends know that I have been quite sick. This is why I’ve been absent from here and from your blogs. I hope to be up and running again soon. Until then, I wish you all a wonderful week.

  1. I didn’t want to press “like!” My dear dear Staci…I am sending you beautiful, white, healing light!!! Please feel better…and I wish you and your family a wonderful Thanksgiving! ! β™‘β™‘

    1. Ohhhhh, hehehe. Yes, I know what you mean. I feel funny pressing like on posts like these too.
Thank you so much Lorrie. It was a difficult time. And even though we live in Brazil, our mission’s base here decided to have a huge Thanksgiving celebration lunch on Wednesday. I think that was maybe the third time in all my 13 1/2 years in Brazil that I had Turkey here.
Hope you had a beautiful Thanksgiving too sweet friend.
      Bless you. πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Oh…I’m so happy you got to celebrate Thanksgiving …turkey and all!! πŸ™‚ I had a beautiful day spent with family and friends. My son moved closer so we spent the day together also and that made me so happy!! Blessings dear friend.
P.S. I am so very close to starting (well I already have it started…just not the “paint”) a mixed media painting…whoohoo! I can’t even believe how long it has been ready for me and yet I still procrastinate…I must cast the fear aside!! πŸ˜‰ β™‘β™‘

      2. Oh yes, definitely. Cast that fear aside Lorrie. I can’t wait to see it when it’s done. You are going to post it, right?
That’s wonderful that your son has moved closer. You must be so happy. So glad to hear that you had a beautiful day together.
Have a lovely week, dear Lorrie.
        πŸ™‚ ❀

      3. Thanks so much for your support and enthusiasm. ..and LOVE!! β™‘ I’m pretty sure I will post it…maybe…hehe

    1. Hahahaha. Thanks Richard. Not really fit and firing yet, but I’m getting there. It was a rough ride, that’s all I can say.
      Have a great weekend.

      1. πŸ™‚ More chirpy. That’s cute. Hahaha. The chirpyness keeps coming and going. Antibiotics are super harsh. Can’t wait to finish them.
Hope you had a great weekend Richard.

  2. Oooh nooo!! I hope you will be fine again soon! I’m sending you all my love and a huuuuge hug! πŸ’–πŸŒ·πŸ’–πŸŒΈπŸ’–πŸŒΉπŸŒΊπŸŒ»πŸŒΌπŸ²β˜•οΈπŸ΅. Get well soon! πŸ€’πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜„

    1. Ohhhhh Trini. I had been thinking of you because I hadn’t seen a post from you in quite a while. I think the last post I saw was from Diwali.
I’m getting better, but it was really rough this week. I was soooooo sick.
Thank you so much for you care, love, hugs, and cheer.
      Have a great weekend.
      πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. I am so so happy that you are feeling better!!! I lost my internet connection for a week so I couldn’t post, but I’m back now! πŸ˜ŠπŸ˜ŠπŸ’–. Huuuuuge hugs! πŸ’–πŸ’–

      2. Ohhhhh nooooo. Lost internet for a week? I know how that is. Very frustrating, isn’t it.
You know, I’m still not 100%, but trying to get there. The antibiotics are harsh and leave me with crampy feelings in my belly, dizziness, difficulty to focus and tiredness. I take the last one tonight, so hopefully things will get better very soon.
I must, but must get over to your blog. I feel like I’m so out of the loop at the moment.
Hugs and love to you Trini. And btw, I went looking for a pink dress for my birthday, but couldn’t find one. I’m going to look again this week.
        πŸ™‚ ❀

      3. Oooh, I hope you find one!!! πŸ’–πŸ’–πŸ’–. That would be so lovely! And don’t worry about my blog, it is here waiting for you when you’re well again πŸ’–πŸ’–.

  3. I checked your blog to see if I may have accidently unsubscribed and missed your posts. Sorry to hear you’re sick, Staci. Hope you’re feeling better. Healing thoughts coming your way!! Happy Thanksgiving!

    1. Thank you so much Geralyn. Oh yes, this sickness left me flat out. I couldn’t do anything. I never want to experience that again. Despite the fact that I live in Brazil, our mission’s base did celebrate Thanksgiving on Wednesday. I got to eat turkey for the third time in the 13 1/2 years I’ve lived.
I hope you had a wonderful celebration.
      Have a great weekend.

    1. Oh no. You got sick too? Not good. I hope you’re better now. I live in Brazil so it’s hot here right now (southern hemisphere). I found out I had (and am still fighting) a urinary tract infection. It was awful.
      Have a great weekend.
      πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Hahaha. Oh no! Not zombie-like? Awwww, poor you. I hope you get full recovery soon too.
        Have a wonderful week.

      2. Ohhhh, that’s great. So glad you are. I am much better now too. It was a rough ride though, but I’m much better now.
        Have a wonderful day.
        πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Thank yo so much Elizabeth.
Actually, I had (and am still fighting) a UTI. It was between that and Dengue, but thank God it wasn’t Dengue. The symptoms are very similar.
      Have a great weekend.

  4. Hi Staci, I hope you’re feeling better soon! Is it a cold? I have’t been feeling well either (pinched nerve in my upper back, hurts so bad). I’ll be praying for healing. ❀ ❀ ❀

    1. Thanks so much Sibella. Ouch! Oh now, a pinched nerve? Not fun at all. Has it gotten better?
As for me, it was between a UTI and Dengue fever. Blood work showed it’s not Dengue (thank God). I’m on antibiotics and yesterday afternoon I was finally able to walk around and get some things done around the house. I never want to experience that again.
      Anyhow, how was your Thanksgiving?
      πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Hi Staci,
Hope you are healed and doing well! ❀
I am a little better but have to start physical therapy end of this week; still some pain though especially at night. Thanksgiving was great. I had five days off which was really good and I had time to forget about work and just relax. I missed painting, but couldn't do anything because my right arm was hurting from that pinched nerve. Hope to get back on the painting wagon sooon, I really miss it… Sending lots of Love and Hugs! πŸ™‚ ❀

      2. Hi Sibella. I’m much better, although not 100%. I think it’s the antibiotics that are keeping me down. Stomach upsets, dizziness and tiredness. I won’t drive right now until I’m done with the treatment and I can focus better. At any rate, I’ll have to celebrate my bday next year, because this year I definitely couldn’t.
        How are you doing?
        πŸ™‚ ❀

      3. I’m so sorry, Staci… When was your birthday? Feel better soon, OK!
I’m just OK, I guess, also not 100%, but I am back to work today… Haven’t had much creative energy, also due to pain, but hoping to get better soon. πŸ™‚

      4. It was on Friday.
I’m so sorry to hear of your pain too Sibella. The creative juices really do take a back seat at times like these, don’t they. Are you taking anything for the pain?

      5. Happy belated Birthday, MY FRIEND! I wish I could have done something for you… ❀ ❀ ❀
I am taking pain- and also anti-inflammatory pills and it's slowly getting better, but I think physical therapy should help the most or at least I hope…

  5. Oh my friend! I’m praying for your complete and immediate healing! Thanks for letting us know why we didn’t see a post from you.
Keep good care of yourself while that healing blooms all over you.
    God Bless you.

    1. Thank you so much Wendy. I had (am still fighting) a UTI. It was between that and Dengue, but blood tests showed it wasn’t Dengue (thank God). Never want that again.
Happy Thanksgiving btw. How was yours?
      πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Holy Moly. Glad you are on the mend.
Thanksgiving was good. Ate too much, and laughed a lot with my husband’s family.
        Happy Birthday!

      2. Hahaha. Isn’t that what Thanksgiving is for? I always eat too much on holiday occasions. Eek.
        Thanks Wendy.

    1. You could say that again. I really don’t understand how little toddlers can get fevers of 103 and still be walking around and playing. Hahaha. Even if I didn’t want to rest, I had no choice. I was laid flat out. It was a toss up between a UTI and Dengue fever (i live in Brazil). Blood tests showed it wasn’t Dengue.
      Thanks Faraday’s Candle.
      Have a great weekend.

  6. Staci, I know you very strong and it just a matter of time, you will be back with all fervor and spring back with all your lovely spirit that you keep spreading. You have been working hard and have been on the go without a break and sometime God wants us to take that break, and you will be quickly fit and fine for the run. I completely understand the situation and have gone through and can fully relate it and you needn’t be worried, just take care and relax and we are there with you and always with you.
    God Bless You…

    1. Thank you so much for your words of encouragement Nihar. That was really kind. I was so sick and couldn’t do anything. I’m getting better now though, so I’m happy with that because it’s my birthday.
You have a great weekend, my friend.

      1. Oh!, Many Many Happy Returns of the Day…God Bless you and you have all your wishes fulfilled.
On a lighter note you have the cake and eat it too, even if I want a piece you have to eat it for me…some more time needed for technology to enable physical stuff transfer virtually…
        Take Care…

      2. Hahaha, yes this is true Nihar. If we could only send things virtually I would be eating my moms cookies and other goodies all the time. Hahaha.
Thank you Nihar. I’m still not 100% well, but trying to get there.

      3. Yes, Yes Staci…Nothing is impossible and technology is surprising us every now and then, it is matter of time we may be virtually transferring goods and life would literally in the virtual world…
Take Care of your your health…

      4. Yes, indeed it would be and hope it happens soon and it would be such a fascinating experience…difficult to imagine, so was when mobile was not there about mobiles.

      5. I don’t know if we’ll ever get technology that would be able to virtually pass objects across space. Hahaha. Imagine that.

      6. Hope is the force of life and technologies are disruptive and unpredictable…we never know.
        I agree..
        Take care of your health.

  7. I thought that you were off again to exotic places, exploring this world. πŸ™‚ Get well soon, Staci, we miss you.

    1. Ohhhh, hahaha. I wish. I would have much preferred that over what I just experienced. It was awful. A toss up between Dengue fever and a UTI. Thankfully the blood tests showed it’s not Dengue. You see? There are down sides to living in the tropics πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚ πŸ™‚
Thanks so much Rob. I’m on the up and up now. Hopefully I’ll be a 100% by Monday.
      Have a great weekend.

  8. I’m sorry to hear that. I hope you will feel better very soon! Sending you lots of love and positive energy, take care dear Staci! πŸ™‚

  9. Staci, because I am an avid fan of the show, Monsters Inside Me, have you been checked for parasites??? I can’t believe what damage they can do to us. You would be a prime candidate since you are a global traveler.
Hope you are well very soon. God’s best to you!

    1. Ohhhhhh, hahahaha. No, thankfully I don’t have one of those horrible little parasites. It was a toss up between dengue fever and a UTI. The blood tests showed it wasn’t dengue, thank God. I’m starting to feel much better.
      Thanks so much Queenrobyn.
      πŸ™‚ ❀

  10. I was just looking for a new post from you πŸ‘€ Sorry to hear you have not been well – rest up and come back stronger your words πŸ“ are missed

    1. Really? Awwwwwww. I’m humbled.
Thank you so much for your kind comment Pete. It was really awful, but I’m on the up and up now, and for that I’m thankful.
      Have a wonderful weekend.
      πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Awwwww, thank you Natalie. I was in rough shape, but today I’m feeling much better. Yeah!!! Today is my birthday. I can’t have my birthday sick, right. It was a toss up between Dengue fever and a UTI. Blood work shows that it’s not Dengue, thank God.
Love and hugs to you. πŸ™‚ ❀

    1. Thank you so much Yvette. I actually had a UTI. Never want one of those again. It laid me out flat.
      Have a great weekend.
      πŸ™‚ ❀

      1. Thanks Yvette. These antibiotics are wreaking havoc on me though. Can’t wait to finish them. Really wish I didn’t have to go on them in the first place, but I was desperate.

      2. Yeah sometimes “you gotta do what you gotta do” – and quick pray feels I. Order (dear lord – I pray for Stac right now and ask that you give her body full healing and pray in Jesus name for strength and encouragement to stay Flooded her way and also for any other needs we both have at this time…..amen)
Have a good day and ttys

    1. Thank you so much. We actually don’t celebrate Thanksgiving here in Brazil, but our mission’s base did. it was awesome. I had Turkey – Yeah!
Hope you had a wonderful celebration.

      1. You live in Brazil? How did I miss that? πŸ˜‰ Please do share about culture/life over there, I am so curious I have always wanted to visit!!

      2. Oh yes, I’ve lived here for 13 1/2 years. I love it here. Mostly sunny and warm. The people are also warm. I’m so glad my kids are growing up here too. Life just seems much simpler.

I look forward to visiting one day, and until then aren’t we lucky to be able to connect through the blogging world? Pleasure to meet such wonderful souls in this world πŸ™‚

    Much love,

    1. Ohhhh, thank you Sharu. I am much better, although not 100% yet.
I actually live in Brazil, so we don’t have Thanksgiving here. We did, however have a thanksgiving lunch on our mission’s base on Wednesday and that was very yummy.
      Love and hugs.
      πŸ™‚ ❀
