Mercy Girl – Mixed Media
After a very busy two weeks, going nuts with all the busyness and not enough time for me, I finally said, “That’s it! This afternoon I’m going to create.” Haha. The above is something I started working on a while ago. I didn’t like some things about the girl, so I decided to go a different direction than what I had originally planned. Next week I will be posting “Mercy Girl 2” hopefully.

Stunning! Love this 🙂
Thank you so much Ryan. I’m honoured that you ‘love’ this.
🙂
Great colours, Staci. The happy girl, skipping on in a grunge world is a lovely contrast. She stands out with confidence and appreciates the diversity around her. Best wishes. xoxo
Thank you so much Sabiscuit. I like that @grunge world. Now that I think about it, yes, it is grungey, isn’t it?
Have a wonderful weekend.
🙂
Beautiful.
Thank you so much Rose. I have three is this ‘Mercy Girl’ series actually. I will post the other two next week.

Lovely Staci, I’m pleased to read that you took time out for yourself to “create”! Have a wonderful weekend and enjoy! ~ Mia 🙂
Thanks Mia. It’s been a crazy couple of weeks. Sooooo crazy. I just couldn’t take it yesterday, and decided to just do my thing all afternoon. Haha. Actually, until about 9:30 at night.
Have a wonderful weekend yourself.
🙂
You’re welcome and thank you! 🙂
She’s so pretty! And she looks serene in the chaos of the purple, like she doesn’t have a care in the world.
Ohhhh, thank you so much Wendy. Yes, the purple signifies mercy. Mercy found in a chaotic world, right.
😉
Have a wonderful weekend Wendy.
🙂 ❤
Purple! *o*
Is this a digital painting? :3
Ohhhh, hahaha. Yes, I knew you would like the purple. I have two more ‘Mercy Girls” that I’m going to post next week. One of them being almost entirely purple. Haha.
No, it’s not digital. It’s my hand and brain. Haha.
Have a great weekend Inky.
🙂 ❤
Haha that’ll make me smile. 🙂
Great! It looks awesome!
You too!
Awwwww, thank you so much.
🙂 ❤
J’adore, the touch of dignity in this piece…..the fragmented usage of color purple that brings out the nobility in it….Another grt one Staci 😀
Awwwww Saaransh, I ALWAYS love seeing you here. It makes my day.
Thank you so much for your sweet an encouraging words. Yes, purple signifies mercy, and so it’s as if to find mercy in the midst of a chaotic and fragmented world.
Have a wonderful weekend, my friend.
🙂
I simply love ur color themes …keep going 🙂
U 2 have a wonderful week 🙂
Awwwwww, big smile. Thanks, my fried.
🙂 ❤
Lovely artwork as always–I especially love the color scheme of violet. I hope you are finding more time to rest as I write this 🙂
Hi Crystal, thank you so much. I was actually giving up on this one, but then I just went with it and made it grungey. haha. I will be working on what I had originally planned for ‘Mercy Girl’ soon. As for now, I am taking a month-long hiatus. I am just too busy at the moment and need to focus on getting things done.
Hope you are well.
🙂 ❤
I can understand on being busy–I look forward to hearing from you soon 🙂
Thanks Crystal. Oh yes, busy, busy, busy. I’m sure you understand this well. Haha.
Hope you are doing well.
🙂 ❤
She’s beautiful, Staci
Thank you Audrey. I totally hadn’t planned on doing what I did with her. I started a whole new ‘Mercy Girl’ (which I’ll post once I return from my hiatus). I though that I’d try something different in order to not lose the entire piece, and this is what I came up with.
🙂
We have the same “r’s” my friend!
I like mercy girl – and hope you are having a nice month of April! 🌸🌸🌸🌸
Hahaha. Hey there Yvette. How was your break? I hope you had a nice one. I was on a break too. I was super busy and getting too stressed. I’m much better now. I didn’t get all done I wanted to though, partly because of breaking my foot – Ugh!
Have a wonderful week.
🙂 ❤
ouch – a break? A sprain or pull could be rough – but a break – oh my!
and things here have been good, but heavy – our sweet dog passed away (unexpectedly) and the first 5 days were the roughest – I have always been sympathetic to pet owners who lose a pet, but this was the first dog I bonded with and I was never attached to any other dogs besides him and his brother (who is still alive). But the shock part was the hardest – I know Cody was 11 and “now” I see that he was up there in doggy years – but we never saw it coming – he was super healthy! In contrast, his brother has had so many issues – like a lump on ear removed – small beign tumors – an eye cyst removed – and last year we braced to maybe lost him, but he is vibrant and doing well – but if we lost him it would have been more epxected and all that – and I thought we would have years with Cody after the other dog went to heaven. Anyhow, the Lord has comforted me – and all of us – but then over the weekned we lost two local students (a 17 year old and 22 year old) in a drunbk driving speeding accident – and so it has been one of those weeks. It is times like this when our eyes really get fixed on heaven (and the htings of this world grow dim) – and as we appreciate the very gift of life. And a big take away was fining the comfort from what I call “small beauty” – like blue eggs in our tree – a video of a toddler saying some first words – and other light hearted stuff.
anyhow, hope your foot heals and sending you a blog hug!
xxoo
also – I lost your songs – darn! But do not send them again, I decided I am going to buy the whole CD – because I love your stuff that much!
Yvette, I’m so sorry for not responding to this sooner. Comments keep disappearing from my notifications for some reason. Gotta love these WP glicks.
Thank you so much. You are too kind. I can’t believe you actually want to buy this CD. I’m so honored. I would like to gift you with it actually. Please email me at stacilys1 at gmail dot com with your new email address and I’ll send them to you.
Have a wonderful day, my friend.
🙂 ❤
What’s wrong with Mercy Girl 1? She’s beautiful. 😉
Thank you so much Vashti. I just didn’t like her arms too much. Hahaha. But I was able to salvage it by turing into this grungy piece. So glad you like it.
🙂 ❤
I do. 🙂
You’re so sweet. Thanks again, my friend.
