Gonna Be Worth It – Song

Ok, this is very out of character for me, but heck! You only live once, right. Tonight I got the wildest idea to record a song by Rita Springer, upload it and post it. My daughter (6 years old) recorded it, and started recording long before I was ready. Hahaha. So don’t mind the delay in starting, and me telling my son to get into the shower. Please note that I am very, but very out of practice at both singing and guitar, so bear with me.

This video is actually dedicated to my longest-standing blogging bud, Rob, from The V-Pub.

Have a wonderful weekend.

    1. Oh, haha, thank you so much. I think the beginning was the iffiest. And thanks for the congrats as well.
      Have a great evening.
      🙂

    1. Really? Hmmmm… I wonder why. Maybe if you go right into YouTube. Our maybe the volume on the video itself is way down or on mute.
      🙂

  1. It worked when I plugged in my headphones! What a blessing at the end of this busy week! I absolutely loved it, Staci❣💜💓

      1. You’re welcome, Staci! You play and sing beautifully and it’s so nice to see you! 😘

  2. I have tears of joy running down my face, Staci. I loved it, and with your permission will save it. You sound amazing, both singing and on guitar. Im awestruck!
I look forward to many more years of our friendship together.

    Rob

    1. Awwwww, really? I’m so glad you enjoyed it Rob. It was an ‘all-of-a-sudden’ thing on a Friday night. haha.
Of course you can save it.
Thank you so much Rob. You have always been a great encourager to me.
Yes, many more years, my friend (hahaha. I almost put, ‘fried’)
      Have a great weekend.
      🙂

      1. Today started off bad, but when I read this, there was no cloud that could darken my day. I thank you with all my heart!

        Sincerely,

        Rob

      2. Ohhhhhh, I’m so glad I could brighten up your day Rob. However, I am sorry it started off bad. Really. You are more than welcome, my friend.
        🙂 🙂

  3. Wow….that was awesome! I LOVE your voice and I thought your guitar playing was good, too. Besides writing, painting and now being musical, what other talents are you hiding???

    1. Awwww, thanks so much Robyn. You’re too kind. You know, I just like the arts. I used to sing, and even do musical theatre when I was much younger. The painting and drawing and stuff like that is relatively new. I’ve just decided to ‘Just Do It’. Might as well, right. And if it turns out, then great. If not, try again.
Thanks again Robyn, for your kind words and encouragement, and please have a lovely Sunday.
      🙂 ❤

  4. Staci, this is so cool! Everything about this post is wonderful, I love the fact that you just went for it. “You only live once, right.” Absolutely, have no regrets, ha-ha! 🙂 Great cover and so enjoyable to watch and listen to you sing and play the guitar, your daughter did a marvelous job recording! I hope to see you do this again! Please enjoy your weekend. ~ Mia 🙂 ❤

    1. Ohhhh, haha. Thanks so much Mia. You know, like I was saying to Robyn above, I’ve just decided to ‘Just Do It’ with anything artsy in my life. I’m not an expert in anything, and actually want to do everything (although that’s not possible). I just go ahead and do stuff now, and if it turns out, Great! If not, well just try again. Of course, doing all this with the best of my ability, striving for the best and with intentionality. I just love the arts, and doing it. I used to dance and act too. There’s an old blogger friend of mine (although she’s not blogging anymore) – we used to talk about being CADHD – Creative Attention Deficit and Hyperactivity Disorder. Hahaha.
I’m so glad you enjoyed this. I will probably do some more of the same in the future.
I hope you are having a wonderful weekend.
      🙂 ❤

      1. Let’s see if I can reply this way, ha-ha, no notification, per usual. It seems to me like you can do it all Staci! You’re so very welcome, I enjoyed this so much and am delighted to read that you will probably do some more in the future, yay! Love it, “CADHD” perfect! Thank you for the kind wishes, please enjoy the rest of your Sunday. 🙂 ❤

      2. Ohhhh, haha. Yes, that happens to me all the time. I always go back into my posts or other’s posts in order to see if there’s something that didn’t show up in my notifications.
Mia, I watched this Ted Talk once about this guy that has ADHD, and he spoke of all the stuff he got into while growing up. He tried out so many things before actually settling down and focusing on one for his career. I don’t think I’ve gotten there yet. Hahaha. My hubby swears I have Asperger’s Syndrome. Ever since we found out that our son does, and he started researching it and learning about it, he swears I have it too. Hahaha.
I had a very quiet and lazy Sunday. Hope yours was nice.
        🙂 ❤

      3. Staci, such good advice to go back and check. It seems normal to me that creative minds have a lot of projects and interests going on all the time. I happen to think that’s great, there really isn’t enough time to explore all the things we might like to do. I glad you had a lazy Sunday, wishing you an enjoyable and creative rest of the week. 🙂 ❤

      4. There it goes again. Haha. Just got this comment now because I went back to this post just in case I didn’t catch something. Ugh.
        🙂

  5. I don’t know what you meant when you said you are not really good with the guitar or singing. I refuse to know what you meant. Your YOLO is so on point.

    1. Ohhhhh, thank you so much Jennifer. You are so kind.
How are you anyhow? I hope all is well.
      Please have a lovely week.
      🙂 ❤

  6. You beautiful little song bird you!! Your loving soul shines and your voice…and the feeling…ah! Just wonderful, Staci…just great!! 🙂 ♡♡♡ Thanks for sharing.

    1. Awwwww, Lorrie, you always encourage me. Thank you so much for the kind words, my friend. I am so glad you enjoyed this Lorrie.
I hope all is well with you. Please do have a wonderful week.
      Hugs.
      🙂 ❤

      1. Awwww, thank you so much Lorrie. And with you too.
Hope you’ve been having a lovely week.
I don’t know what’s happening with WP, but I’m not getting certain notifications. I just saw this comment now because I went right into my blog and was looking over the comments. Ugh.
        🙂 ❤

  7. Not bad at all–you should give yourself more credit. I enjoyed listening to the song and wish I could play an instrument as good as you did with the guitar. Although I’ve written music and played piano in the past, I am very much a novice. But you definitely given me encouragement to get back to it 🙂

    1. Ohhh, thanks Crystal. I’m just really out of practice. It’s been years since I’ve sung regularly or played the guitar. You really should get back into it. The only problem is time, right? That’s my big problem. So much I would like to do, but so little time.
      Have a wonderful week.
      🙂 ❤

      1. I agree with time being a problem. But hopefully towards the end of summer, I will have more time 🙂 I hope your weekend is going well Staci and thanks again!

  8. I loved this, Staci – not because it’s good, bad or indifferent, but because it’s you, and because you got out there and did it. Well done you! 🙂
p.s. – for avoidance of doubt – you play and sing good too. 😉

    1. Hahahaha. Love it @for avoidance of doubt.
Rob, for some reason I’m not getting your comments in my notifications. What a bummer. I’m going to have to right into my blog to make sure I’m reading all the comments and not missing anything.
Thanks a ton Rob. So glad you enjoyed this. Yes, it is all me. Haha. No fronts here, my friend.
      🙂

  9. Such a wonderful soul!! It is a blessing to hear you sing. Loved it!!
    ❤ ❤

      1. Yes we are having a beautiful one. We had our Father’s Day celebration one day earlier today. It was fun.
        Keep smiling 🙂 ❤

      2. Oh, that’s great. Father’s Day is in August here in Brazil. I almost forgot about it being yesterday in North America. My mom send me an email Saturday night to remind me. Eek. Good thing.
        🙂

    1. Hahahahaha. Saaransh, believe me. There are many things I can’t do. And the things I can do, I’m not that great at either. I just do it. Hahaha.
You’re the one that rocks, my friend.
      Stay blessed too.
      😉

      1. Though its debatable * ( the things I can do, I’m not that great at either ) * …..but the most significant part is that ‘u just do it’….keep doing it
