About

Staci Lys Dunn Silva

I’m just a simple girl that is passionate about being relevant and making a difference in this world.

In a nutshell, this is me:

World traveler, lover of bright sunny days, experiencing cultures, good friends and conversation. I love my God and love my family.

I don’t believe I have the truth, but that I have a relationship with Truth and want to be closer to Him.

Canadian, born and raised in Vancouver, BC.  YWAMer since 2000 (don’t know what YWAM is? Check out YWAM in the menu bar.) and have traveled and lived all over the world –Hong Kong, China, India, Bangladesh, Nepal, Afghanistan, Turkey, Germany, Argentina, Australia and The USA.

I moved to Brazil in 2002, married an awesome “Baiano”, Daniel, and we have two adorable kiddies, Caue and Hannah.

A God Colored Girl in a Grey World is my creativity cupboard. Here you will find poetry and thoughts, music, mixed media art, photography, and whatever artsy creative thing happens to come into my life.

Hope you enjoy.

Oh yes, you really should travel. I think people who travel are a lot more open to and accepting of other cultures. I know that my traveling days haven’t ended. They just can’t. Let’s see where the next place will be eh…
      Love and hugs.
      Staci 🙂 ❤

  10. I suspect if you’re a YWAMer from Vancouver, we know some of the same people. We support Tanya Lyons for example (she has been in Vancouver’s Hasting’s st. area for some time), and our pastor is a YWAMer for ages – Greg Wiens. Grace to you.

    • I am soooooooo sorry for not responding to you earlier Rusty. I just found this comment in my WP admin site. It didn’t even show up in my notifications. I’m glad I checked, which isn’t too often for me.
Oh yes, I’m from Vancouver, born and raised. However, I have never been with YWAM in Canada. Only in Asia and full time now in Brazil. I only know the people from the Donor services office and I also know Randy Perizeau. I also know Russ Rosen in Langley.
Oh wow, your pastor is a YWAMer? That’s so great. Which church do you attend? I must visit when we are there in November/December. Then we can meet too. That would be so cool to actually meet a fellow blogger and a Vancouver YWAMer.
I will be over to your blog later today. At the moment I am in class with my son. I’m homeschooling him because the school system here isn’t very good with high functioning autistic kids.
      Until later. Many blessings.
      Staci

  13. Hey Staci… You and I have a mutual friend who has dropped off the planet. Rob..Vpub? I can’t even get an email to go through. It bounced back to me as undeliverable. Do you know anything about him, or if he is ok? It always bothers me when something like this happens. I hope he is ok… :-/
