899. The people who know God well—mystics, hermits, prayerful people, those who risk everything to find God—always meet a lover, not a dictator. ~Richard Rohr

I am so honored that Natalie posted this on her blog, using my poem from my last post. Truly beautiful.

Sacred Touches

Once you are in communion with God,
you have the eyes to see and the ears to hear other
people in whom God has also found a dwelling place.

Lover of my soul
Will you listen to me
I know you will
My spirit you see
My heart you touch
My soul you shape
My being is yours
I’m here, please take
Me away to that secret place
Where we connect

From heaven the Lord looks down and sees all mankind; from his dwelling place he watches all who live on earth—he who forms the hearts of all, who considers everything they do. ~Psalm 33:13-15  ✝

    • Thanks so much Sibella. I felt so honored. I had written the poem last year, but inspired by all the ‘connections’ I was having the past few weeks, I decided to post it again.
      How was your weekend?
      🙂 ❤

      • It’s a beautiful and moving poem! It is all about connections and relationship, first with God and then with one another.

        Had a great weekend, relaxing… Can’t believe it’s Monday tomorrow lol 😀

      • Thank you Sibella. And I totally agree. First with God, then with others.
Great. I had a busy one, but good. Tomorrow is Children’s Day here, so it’s a holiday. It’s been sooooo hot and sunny, and tomorrow we will take the kids out to a park with their bikes.
        😊💕

      • I bet… 🙂
        How old are you kids? I don’t think I know… 12 and 5? I am probably totally wrong… If so, I’m sorry… :\

      • I should have listen to my guts, because they told me 8 and 5… Will I ever learn to follow my instincts?! 😀

I bet they are, I can remember those days! Mine are 18 and 21… I feel sooo ollldddd 😀 😀

      • I’m going to be 47 in April… getting closer to 50, but I feel like such a ‘kid’ when it comes to some things.

      • I embrace the divine feminine, the female side of God..but it’s all the same…to be aware of that love is necessary to maintain a life of peace and hope..and good sense o humor😉😹

      • I believe that God doesn’t even have a gender, but that the unique traits of both sexes are in God. I’ve heard it said before that one could think of the Holy Spirit as the feminine side of God. At any rate, he’s spirit.
Definitely agree that a life of peace and hope come from his amazing love.
        Thanks so much moonmaenad.
        🙂

    • Wow Lala! You are the sweetest girl ever. Thank you so much. Your kind words of appreciation blow me away. I wish we could meet some day. Who knows? It could happen.
      Love and hugs.
      🙂 ❤
